  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: The Godfather: Part II, Malcolm X, and Boyz n the Hood
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Nerds
  3. First movie that made you cry: Reign Over Me
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Martin Scorsese and Denzel Washington
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  Titanic…the door is big enough for both!

CJ Marshall

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Big Trouble in Little China, Tombstone, Macross Plus
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Popcorn with way too much butter
  3. First movie that made you cry: Beaches
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: David Fincher, Jon Bernthal and Charlize Theron
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  The movie I would change is Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.  Just one thing only.  Darth Maul lives, and wrecks everyone throughout the trilogy until Anakin destroys him in Episode III

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Blade Runner, and Mad Max: Fury Road.  (I may be stuck on a desert island but I refuse to be board!)
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Popcorn slathered in as much butter as I can put on it.  Like, 60% butter and 40% popcorn.
  3. First movie that made you cry: Movies have been making me cry since I could remember, but animated ones always tug at my heart strings.  A more recent movie that made me ugly cry in the theater was Coco.  Pixar knows how to make a grown man cry!
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Steven Spielberg.  He has defined the action adventure genre, and also made powerful dramas, comedies, and any other genre he can get his hands on.  Christian Bale.  This guy commits to every role he’s in, and you can tell he loves acting.  Not every movie he’s been in is great, but he’s always great in it.  Amy Adams.  She just has insane range, but she shines so much in dramatic movies.  Honestly, how has she not gotten any awards?!
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  I would change Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.  All that drama and climatic action just to end it partying with the Ewoks?  Yeah, not the most satisfying, but at least the force ghosts are cool.  I would have made it more rewarding with Luke cremating his father, and then scene cut to Luke and our heroes opening the new Jedi Temple, which to me, feels a bit more triumphant.

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Beauty and the Beast (animated), Stardust, Aliens
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Root Bear and peanut butter M&Ms
  3. First movie that made you cry: The Empire Strikes Back.  I was very young.  I didn’t have anyone to guide my Star Wars experience and I watched the movies out of order.  I had no idea that little Ani from The Phantom Menace was Darth Vader!
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Darren Aronofsky, Hugh Jackman and Kaitlyn Dever
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  I Am Legend, just use the alternate ending in the bonus features!

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Gladiator, Princess Diaries, and Moulin Rouge
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: A big ol’ cup of Dr. Pepper!
  3. First movie that made you cry: Probably Homeward Bound or Fluke
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Christopher Nolan, Anne Hathaway and Russel Crowe
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  Million Dollar Baby. *SPOILER* The ending just devastated me the first time I saw it, so I would change it to where he grabs the stool in time and she wins the fight, leaves her family behind, and lives the long and happy life she deserves.

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: I always joke that I’d take a documentary about how to build a boat!  Joking aside…Your Name, Pride and Prejudice (the super long BBC version with Colin Firth), The Sound of Music for when I get depressed.
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: I do enjoy a good hotdog, but also popcorn with Peanut M&Ms in the popcorn.
  3. First movie that made you cry: I cry at every movie, but probably Old Yeller
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Hayao Miyazaki for director, and in the past Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn and Jimmy Steward.  I don’t know if I have a favorite current actor/actress.  Just depends on the film.  I love voice actress Tara Strong, and I was honored to get to interview her in 2019.
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  If I could do a TV show I’d do the ending to How I Met Your Mother (I will never forgive them!). Maybe The Last Jedi because I really hated the character arc for Luke in that movie (controversial I know).

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and Inception
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Nachos
  3. First movie that made you cry: The Lion King (animated)
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  The Force Awakens.  Instead of Rey being able to defeat Kylo on her own (untrained), Luke shows up and saves Rey and Finn from Kylo Ren

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Shawshank Redemption, Schindler’s List, In Bruges
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Popcorn and peanut M&Ms
  3. First movie that made you cry: More like weep! Schindler’s List
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Close tie between David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino.  Always love me some Jake Gyllenhaal.
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  Toy Story 3. Leave the toys (at least Woody and Buzz) with Andy. Cut to 10 years later and they’re just hanging in a cardboard box in an attic having a good time, playing cards hanging out in a Barbie mansion or something, and most importantly – continuing with their promise made in the first 2 movies to be there for Andy and each other no matter what. Then the cardboard box suddenly opens, Andy looks like he’s over 30 years old, and with wet eyes, he asks someone to come and take a look at what’s in the box. Then a 4-6 year old boy or girl that looks a lot like Andy walks up, is mesmerized and exclaims, “Woooww”. Fade to black! End the franchise while you’re ahead. Not a dry eye in the theater.

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: La La Land, Warrior, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Popcorn! (duh) and sour strawberry belts
  3. First movie that made you cry: It was either Radio or Life is Beautiful
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Christopher Nolan, and Christian Bale
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it? …???

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: The Mummy (1998), Shaun of the Dead, Logan
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: Peanut M&Ms
  3. First movie that made you cry: The Patriot…I think
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: Edgar Wright, Ryan Reynolds and Keanu Reeves
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it? I would change the ending of La La Land.  I would keep the same ending, but it wouldn’t be the end.  I would fast forward 20 years and have them bump into each other and continue their romance.

  1. Three movies to take with you on a desert island: Inside Out, The Dark Knight, and An Education.  (If I could take 5 I would also take Baby Driver and Booksmart)
  2. Favorite movie theater snack: My favorite movie theater snack is honestly popcorn and a Cherry Coke (did you know movie theater butter is vegan!?)
  3. First movie that made you cry: The Lion King (animated). Mufasa’s death hit hard as a child.
  4. Favorite movie director and actor: My favorite actor is Carey Mulligan, to the point where I’ll watch a movie solely because she is in it. No favorite director
  5. If you could change the ending of any movie, which would it be and how would you change it?  It would be: The Mist. *SPOILER* It’s a 2007 adaptation of a Steven King novel (so truly it’s his fault that the ending is so awful), but I would change it so that the dad has enough bullets to kill himself, then the army shows up. The fact that he mercy kills his wife and son, and moments later is “rescued” by the army is the most gut-wrenching thing. I get not wanting a perfect, happy ending, so I wouldn’t change it so that all of the main characters are rescued and live happily ever after. But that scream Thomas Jane lets out when he realizes he could’ve waited seconds and still had his family, oof. Too much. I’ve only seen this film once, but it’s the first movie that comes to mind when I think of an ending that I would change.
